Mariana B. Vanin

Mariana B. Vanin joined Trickle Up in 2021 as director of communications. She’s responsible for leading the organization’s global communications strategy and telling our story with impact. Before Trickle Up, Mariana worked at the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, or CATW, where she rose through the ranks to become communications director. She gained experience in global advocacy on women’s rights and human rights issues, and strategic communications for social change across platforms and audiences.

Mariana Daza von Boeck is the program manager for the Resilient Territories program with Helvetas in Bolivia. She has more than 10 years’ experience in municipal environmental management. Her focus areas include integrated solid waste management, nature-based solutions, environmental control, urban ecology, climate change, and resilience.

Marianne Mensah

Marianne Mensah works on innovative financing for development at the Agence Française de Développement. She joined the group as a African project coordinator where she worked on environment, energy, water, health and education projects. She also worked for the AFD Corporate University, where she developed learning projects on energy efficiency and climate change.

Maria Paula Correa is the senior director of strategic engagement for Concordia, a nonprofit organization that enables public-private partnerships to create a more prosperous and sustainable future. As equal parts convener, campaigner and idea incubator, Concordia is creating a new model for how a nonpartisan, nonprofit can have a global impact.

Maria Ron Balsera is the executive director of the Center for Economic and Social Rights. She is a feminist leader with over 15 years of experience in research and advocacy in economic justice, human rights, education, privatisation, and intersectionality. She holds a Ph.D. in Education and Human Development from Bielefeld University.

Mariarosa Cutillo is chief of the strategic partnerships branch within the division of Communications and Strategic Partnerships of the United Nations Population Fund. Mariarosa brings with her more than 20 years of professional experience working for the private sector. Before joining UNFPA, she was the head of corporate social responsibility at Benetton Group, as well as president and CEO of Benetton’s UNHATE Foundation.

Maria-­Theres Haase is a researcher at Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik / German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn, Germany. Currently she is supporting the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in the Habitat III process, focusing on the topics urban development and mobility.
