Mieke van Reenen

Mieke van Reenen is responsible for developing nutrition-secure supply chains programs within the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition. Van Reenen holds a master’s degree in forest and nature conservation from the Netherlands’ Wageningen University. She’s particularly interested in linking ecological and agricultural systems with social livelihood improvements and gained significant expertise in sustainable supply chains and certification while working for the Tropical Commodity Coalition.

Miguel Niño-Zarazúa

Miguel Niño-Zarazúa is a senior lecturer in development economics at SOAS University of London and a nonresident senior research fellow at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research, or UNU-WIDER. He is an international expert in the areas of inequality, social protection and redistributive policies in the global south. His recent book, “The Politics of Social Protection in Eastern and Southern Africa,” was published in 2019 by Oxford University Press.

Miguel Tamonan is a Senior Development Analyst at Devex, where he analyzes data from public and private donors to produce content and special reports for Pro and Pro Funding readers. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Major in International Relations from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Mikael Fridell

Mikael Fridell

Mikael Fridell earned a master's degree in economics at the University of Uppsala and a bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Lund. His work and internship experiences encompass the public and private sectors and include a stint at an educational institute in Jerusalem, internship at the Swedish embassy in Manila, field study on the informal sector and microcredit in the West Bank, and positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the SEB Financing Corp. in Stockholm. He won a Devex fellowship in February 2008, and worked out of our Barcelona office. Mikael is fluent in English and Swedish is his mother tongue.

Mike Bruce

Mike Bruce is the Asia regional communications manager for Plan International. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he is currently based in Bangkok and works in a variety of field environments across Asia. He has previously worked in governance, advocacy, programming, and communications for the National Democratic Institute in Pakistan, The Border Consortium in the refugee camps on the Thailand-Myanmar border region and for a number of civil society and labor rights organizations.

Mike Egboh is national program manager for the Abt Associates-led Partnership for Transforming Health Systems 2 in Nigeria. A Harvard MBA graduate, Egboh has over 30 years of experience supporting the health system in his native Nigeria.

Mike Green is policy adviser at Bond, working on U.K. and EU aid policy. He supports members on issues surrounding aid quality and quantity, financing for development, EU aid, and the OECD Development Assistance Committee.

Dr. Mike Osterholm is regents professor, McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair in Public Health, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, distinguished teaching professor in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health, a professor in the Technological Leadership Institute, College of Science and Engineering, and an adjunct professor in the Medical School, all at the University of Minnesota. He is also on the Board of Regents at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
