Miriam Frisch

Miriam Frisch is the research associate to Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, vice chancellor of the University of Global Health Equity. Prior to joining UGHE, Miriam worked for Partners in Health in Liberia and in Boston in clinical supply chain and operations, and for the Ministry of Health in Rwanda, as a Global Health Corps fellow, providing technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation for a nutrition program. She holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Public Health and Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Miriam Otoo

Miriam Otoo is a researcher at the International Water Management Institute. Her expertise include issues related to agricultural markets and rural-urban food systems, business development and entrepreneurship, and economics of waste reuse in developing countries. She is currently working in West and East Africa, and South Asia and leads IWMI’s Research Group on Resource Recovery and Reuse.

Mirjana Spoljaric Egger is assistant secretary-general of the United Nations, assistant administrator of UNDP, and director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS. She was appointed to this position by the secretary-general of the United Nations in August 2018 and assumed her duties in October 2018.

Ambassador Mirko Manzoni has more than 25 years of experience in diplomacy and the humanitarian field and recently concluded his mandate as personal envoy of the United Nations secretary general for Mozambique, from 2019 to 2023. He is currently Switzerland's ambassador to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Mauritius, and Eswatini and permanent representative to the Southern African Development Community.

Dr. Mirta Roses Periago was director of the Pan American Health Organization from 2003 to 2013. A specialist in epidemiology and infectious diseases, she previously worked for the World Health Organization and is now special envoy for the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases.
Misbah Khan

Misbah Khan

Misbah Khan is an environment reporter specializing in antibiotic-resistant superbugs at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, or TBIJ, in the United Kingdom. She was TBIJ’s 2022 Aziz Fellow, and has worked as an investigative journalist and researcher on documentaries for ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a Master of Arts in Near and Middle Eastern studies. She is a co-founder of Identity International, a platform committed to providing critical, in-depth perspectives on minority issues.

Misha Kay

Misha Kay is the head of the Global Observatory for eHealth, launched by the World Health Organization in 2005 to monitor, analyze and report trends in the adoption of information and communication technologies for health. Over the past 10 years the GOe has conducted three global surveys and published numerous thematic and global reports. Prior to WHO, Misha was the director of electronic publishing at the Open Society Institute, Budapest, where he introduced a special program to support NGOs using the internet to promote open society in countries in transition.
