He is responsible for investments and advisory programs in more than 20 countries, with over 200 staff, to support economic development across the region through private sector development.
Moustafa Mijiyawa

Moustafa Mijiyawa

Moustafa Mijiyawa is a professor of rheumatology with more than 30 years of experience in care in Togo and abroad. Mijiyawa became the Republic of Togo’s minister of health in June 2015. He is also the political coordinator at Lomé Initiative. Since 2019, he has been chairman of the executive board of the African Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

Mugirente Angelique

Mugirente Angelique is a Rwandan midwife with a bachelor’s degree in public health and is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in public health. She is also working with the International Confederation of Midwives through the Rwanda Association of Midwives as a project manager. Mugirente has extensive experience in public health, with a focus on maternal, newborn/child health, malaria, community health, and family planning.

Muhammad Al Jasser, Ph.D., is the president of Islamic Development Bank. He has served as the minister of economy and planning and as governor and board chair of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (now the Saudi Central Bank – SAMA). He also served as an adviser at the Saudi Council of Ministers General Secretariat and as chairman of the General Authority for Competition.
Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus is the founder of the Grameen Bank and winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for his “efforts to create economic and social development from below.” He has won a number of prestigious awards and honorary doctorate degrees, and is considered a trailblazer in microfinance and social business. Yunus serves on the board of directors of the United Nations Foundation.

Muhammad Ali Pate is a Nigerian physician and the current minister of health and social welfare of Nigeria. Until recently he was a professor of the practice of public health leadership in the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard University. He formerly served as the global director for health, nutrition and population, and director of the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents at the World Bank Group. Pate is also the former minister of state for health in Nigeria. Pate was conferred with the high honor in Nigeria of Commander of the Order of the Niger, or CON.

Mukami has covered business and written features for two of Kenya’s leading media companies, the Standard Group and Nation Media Group.

Mukesh Kapila

Mukesh Kapila is emeritus professor of global health and humanitarian affairs at the University of Manchester. Originally qualified in medicine, he was head of humanitarian aid at the U.K. government, resident and humanitarian coordinator at United Nations, emergencies director at the World Health Organization, and under-secretary-general at International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Three decades of experience took him to 120 countries including numerous conflict and crisis zones.
