Nick O’Donohoe

Nick O’Donohoe

Nick O’Donohoe joined CDC as its chief executive in June 2017 and is also a member of CDC's board. He was previously a senior adviser to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he specialized in the use of blended finance models to support the work of the foundation. Prior to taking this role, Nick co-founded, with Sir Ronald Cohen, Big Society Capital, or BSC. He served as its chief executive officer from 2011 to December 2015. BSC is an independent financial institution established by the U.K. government as “the world’s first social investment bank” and is capitalized with unclaimed U.K. bank accounts and investment by the largest U.K. banks.

Nick van de Giesen

Nick van de Giesen

Nick van de Giesen is the co-director of Trans-African Hydro-Meteorological Observatory. Since 2004, he has been with Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands where he holds the Van Kuffeler Chair of Water Resources Management. Since April 2009, he has served as chairman of the Delft Research Initiative Environment. Van de Giesen holds bachelor's and master's degrees in land and water management from Wageningen Agricultural University and a doctorate in agricultural and biological engineering from Cornell University.

Nicki McGoh

Nicki McGoh

Nicki McGoh is a director at Caribou Digital, working primarily on their Space for Sustainable Development activities. Her work focuses on how satellite applications can be used to further international development outcomes. Nicki also leads an accelerated innovation collaboration with the U.K.’s Humanitarian Innovation Hub, which looks at the use of satellite technologies in humanitarian emergencies and raising awareness of cases and experiences of using it in the sector.
Nicola Ansell

Nicola Ansell

Nicola Ansell is a professor at Brunel University in human geography, with a particular focus on children and youth. At Brunel, Nicola has undertaken research projects looking at the impacts of AIDS on young people’s migration; the ways in which education sectors are adjusting to the needs of AIDS-affected young people; and the impacts of AIDS on young people’s current livelihoods and future food security. She is currently working on two projects: one examining the impacts of social cash transfers (for instance old age pensions and child grants) on generational relations in Malawi and Lesotho and the other investigating links between education and aspiration in remote rural areas of Lesotho, Laos and India.

Nicolas de Rivière is the ambassador, permanent representative of France to the United Nations in New York. He graduated from the French Ecole Nationale d’Administration, or ENA. He has served in the offices of two Foreign Ministers (2002-2004 and 2004-2005). He was conferred the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 2015.
Nicolas Gloeckl

Nicolas Gloeckl

As Manager of Surveys and Advisory Services at Devex, Nicolas leads an experienced team of researchers on a variety of custom research projects and surveys. He previously worked on policy issues at the United Nations in Aceh, Indonesia, and was heavily involved with the civil society contingent to the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, South Korea, during his time as a policy officer with Ibon International.
