Nicole Behnam

Nicole Behnam is the senior technical director for the Violence Prevention and Response Unit at the International Rescue Committee. The VPRU supports child protection, legal protection of refugees, and protection of women and other vulnerable groups in conflict and crisis settings. Before that she served as the orphans and vulnerable children senior advisor at the PEPFAR Office of the Global HIV/AIDS Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State. Previous to this position, she was a senior technical advisor for child protection for World Vision and before that she was a TA for International Rescue Committee, and a protection specialist at World Relief. Her work has focused on programs responding to violence against women, children and their families, and she has worked and lived in places as varied as Sierra Leone, Kosovo, Mozambique and Jordan, and supported programs from Darfur to Afghanistan to South Sudan.

Nicole de Paula

Nicole de Paula, Ph.D., is the inaugural Klaus Töpfer fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies for Sustainability in Potsdam, Germany, and founder of Women Leaders for Planetary Health. In 2021, she published the book “Breaking the Silos for Planetary Health: A Roadmap for a Resilient Post-Pandemic World.” She is also an adviser to the World Health Organization South-East Asia regional expert group on environment determinants of health and climate change, and one of the scientific commissioners of The Lancet Pathfinder Commission.

Nicole Goldin is head of equitable development at UNU-Centre for Policy Research and nonresident senior fellow of the Atlantic Council. She leads research on development cooperation and effectiveness, inequality, and inclusive growth. Among prior roles, she was lead economist at the World Bank, senior adviser at the U.S. State Department and USAID. She holds a Ph.D. in economics.

Nicole Iseppi is the managing director of global energy innovation at the Bezos Earth Fund. She has over two decades of experience in driving global energy transition. She previously held senior roles at ENGIE and JBIC, contributed to global renewable initiatives, and received an honorary fellowship from Monash University for her contributions.

Nicole Schiegg is a strategic advisor to Women in Global Health. She is a partner in the C5 Collective and has an independent consulting practice. Nicole was an appointee in both President Bill Clinton’s and President Barack Obama’s administrations. Most recently she was a senior advisor at USAID and directed strategic communications.

Nicole Spieker is CEO of PharmAccess, an international nonprofit dedicated to strengthening health systems in sub-Saharan Africa. Spieker has over 17 years on the ground experience in Africa to develop and scale innovative models that drive inclusive, quality healthcare, especially for low-income groups. She is also the founder of PharmAccess’ SafeCare, a method with internationally accredited quality standards to improve healthcare in resource restricted areas. The methodology is currently in use by more than 3000 facilities, predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa.

Nicoleta Panta

Nicoleta Panta

Nicoleta Panta is the advocacy manager for Plan International’s Count Every Child initiative, through which the organization has helped register more than 40 million people in 32 countries. Plan’s advocacy has also led to improved laws in 10 countries. Nicoleta joined Plan International three years ago to develop a new direction for Plan’s global work towards universal birth registration as part of civil registration and vital statistics. She believes sustainable changes for the most vulnerable can be achieved by working hand in hand with governments, U.N. agencies, NGOs and the private sector.
