Rahilla Zafar

Rahilla Zafar served as a former Devex fellow in Washington, D.C., from April to July 2008 after returning from Afghanistan, where she worked for the International Organization for Migration and the NATO-led mission. Her writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Guardian and Knowledge@Wharton. Rahilla has a bachelor's in public policy from DePaul University and a master's in social policy and planning in developing countries from the London School of Economics.
Rahul Ahluwalia

Rahul Ahluwalia

Rahul Ahluwalia is associate project director for governance at the Central Square Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to ensure quality school education for all children in India. Prior to joining CSF, he was at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and before that at NITI Aayog, the Indian government's policy think tank. He has previously carried out research on economic and social sector policy at Brookings India and the Indian School of Business, and also worked in the corporate sector in consulting and marketing roles. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a master's in Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Rahul Chandran

Rahul Chandran is the executive director of the Global Alliance on Humanitarian Innovation, launched at the World Humanitarian Summit to increase the impact of humanitarian innovation. His previous experience spans humanitarian, development and peacekeeping, leading major reform efforts for the United Nations, and extensive work in and on Afghanistan. He worked in headquarters and the field for the United Nations, the World Bank, UN-OCHA, UNDP, the Peacebuilding Support Office, and the Executive Office of the Secretary-General. Prior to this, he was the deputy director of the Center on International Cooperation, and has also worked in civil rights and for a number of technology start-ups.

Raimund Zühr is a global development advocacy strategist and manager. He has worked 11+ years at the intersection of strategy consulting and advocacy supporting high-profile foundations, multilateral organizations and partnerships, governments and CSOs. From 2017-2022, he headed SEEK Development’s Donor Tracker (donortracker.org), a leading platform for development professionals that analyzes funding, policies, decision-making from 14 OECD donors. His thematic focus includes global health, education, gender equality and climate finance.

Dr. Rainer Brockhaus joined as CEO of Christoffel-Blindenmission Germany to lead programs, fundraising, and communications in 2009. From 2016 to 2018, he was appointed as chair of the international leadership team of CBM International.

Raj Kumar

Raj Kumar is the President and Editor-in-Chief at Devex, the media platform for the global development community. He is a media leader and former humanitarian council chair for the World Economic Forum and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His work has led him to more than 50 countries, where he has had the honor to meet many of the aid workers and development professionals who make up the Devex community. He is the author of the book "The Business of Changing the World," a go-to primer on the ideas, people, and technology disrupting the aid industry.

Raja Rao

Raja Rao is the director of cold-chain strategy and markets at B Medical Systems. He has over 20 years of experience in global health and development. He provided leadership and support to global coalitions of partners such as UNICEF, WHO, and Gavi and supported UNICEF in creating market-based procurement strategies. He supported the launch, rollout, and scale-up of the eVIN vaccine management information system.
Rajat Khosla

Rajat Khosla

Rajat Khosla has been the executive director of Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health since May 2024. He previously directed the International Institute on Global Health and worked at the World Health Organization and UN Human Rights on global health, rights, and inequalities. Rajat has advised major United Nations agencies, published widely, and holds affiliations with the University of Southern California Institute on Inequalities in Global Health and the University of Essex Human Rights Centre.

Rajat M. Nag is concurrently a distinguished fellow at India’s National Council of Applied Economic Research, and the Emerging Markets Forum. He also serves as chair of the Act East Council of the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
