Rana Ghoneim leads the global industrial energy efficiency accelerator as part of the SEforALL’s global accelerator platform. She also leads the development of programs promoting sustainable energy use in industry in the MENA and Africa regions at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. She has over 20 years of international experience on the development and implementation of programs responding to a number of multilateral environmental agreements such as the Montreal protocol, Stockholm convention, and the UNFCCC. She holds a master of science in environmental economics from Imperial College London.

Ranieri Guerra serves as assistant director-general for special initiatives at the World Health Organization. A physician from Italy, he has more than 30 years of public health experience. Since 2014, he has served as director general for preventive health and chief medical officer of the Italian Ministry of Health.

Ranjitha Puskur is senior scientist at WorldFish, leading the gender research program. She has been working in the area of innovation systems in agricultural research for equitable development, and was previously based at the International Livestock Research Institute and the International Water Management Institute.

Ranjitha Shivaram is a senior research assistant on the Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative at the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program.

Raphael Marcus is the senior vice president for programs at HIAS and has worked in humanitarian response for more than a decade.

Raquel Alcega leads the data research and analysis at Devex, providing advice to organizations on the latest funding and programmatic trends that shape the global development space. She also heads up the news business content strategy and designs internal knowledge management processes. Prior to joining Devex’s Barcelona office, she worked in business development in Washington, D.C., and as a researcher in Russia and Mexico.

Rasmus Jensen Schjoedt is a freelance journalist and consultant working on governance and social protection in Asia. He holds a master's degree in political science and has more than seven years of experience working in international development in Africa and Asia, mainly in the area of civil society support and local governance. He has lived and worked in Myanmar since May 2013 and is currently working on a book about social protection in Asia.

Rastislav Vrbensky is the manager of the U.N. Development Program regional hub for Europe and the CIS in Istanbul. Prior to this, he has been assigned in Montenegro, Tajikistan, Serbia and in his home country Slovakia. Before joining UNDP, he worked for the Slovak government and an international NGO. He holds a doctorate in development studies from Comenius University in Bratislava.
