His career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes positions such as director-general of Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department and minister at the embassies in Indonesia and Germany.

Saad Mered

Saad Mered was appointed as Global Chief Claims Officer for Zurich’s General Insurance Segment in January 2014. He leads over 10,000 claims professionals across more than 40 countries. He is also the executive sponsor of Zurich’s Flood Resilience Program. Prior to his current role, he was Chief Executive Officer, Middle East and & Africa, General Insurance. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Saba Kidanemariam

Saba Kidanemariam, is country leader for Ipas Ethiopia. She has had more than 20 years of experience in development work. Before joining Ipas in 2000, she was the acting deputy general manager for the Ethiopian Social Rehabilitation and Development Fund and also served as its advisor on gender and environmental issues. Kidanemariam has participated in development, poverty-reduction and economic-management workshops. She also worked as the coordinator of donor-financed projects for the Ministry of Industry before joining the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Project Monitoring Unit.

Sabine Terlecki is the head of policy and advocacy at CONCORD, the European Confederation for Development and Relief NGOs. Sabine has around 15 years of experience working in the areas of (financing for) sustainable development, child rights, education, migration and gender equality. Before working with CONCORD, she worked at the international level with Plan International, the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, the European Parliament and European Commission.

Sabrina Archambault joined AFD in January 2008. Having held a position in Réunion, she returned to AFD’s headquarters in Paris as a climate change adaptation officer. Since 2012, she has held an operational position as project manager in the Local Authorities and Urban Development Division, focusing on Madagascar, Cameroon and Senegal. Sabrina graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in “Cities, Environment and Transport.”

Sachiko Ozawa

Sachiko Ozawa is an associate professor at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and an adjunct associate professor in maternal and child health at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is a health economist whose work focuses on generating evidence to improve access to vaccines and quality-assured medicines. Her research on the return on investment from childhood immunizations have been used by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Health Organization, and Gavi to advocate for vaccinations in low- and middle-income countries.

Safa Joudeh is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Development Studies at SOAS University of London. Her research is on the global organization and geography of joint production. She explores the strategies and organization of new industrial areas, bearing on opportunities for domestic upgrading through global production network integration across sectors, industries, and economies.
