Salima Namusobya

Salima Namusobya is the executive director of the Initiative for Social and Economic Rights and an expert member of the Working Group on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. She is a lawyer and human rights advocate who has specialized in international human rights law and forced migration.
Sally Brooks

Sally Brooks

Sally Brooks is lecturer and program director for the online MPA in international development at the University of York. Her research examines processes of decision-making in global science and development networks; and her teaching includes social and political issues in development, sustainable development, governance, organizational learning and the policy process. Sally has previously worked with development NGOs in capacity development roles in Cambodia, Vietnam and Papua New Guinea.

Sally Cowal

Sally Cowal is senior vice president for global health at the American Cancer Society. Before joining the organization, she served as senior vice president and chief liaison officer at Population Services International and director for external relations at UNAIDS. She is an accomplished U.S. diplomat having served in India, Colombia, Israel, and Mexico. She also became U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Sally Stansfield is a director in the Social Impact service line of Deloitte Consulting LLP, focusing on global health issues. She brings more than 30 years of expertise in health systems strengthening, and has extensive experience working with global health partners.
Sally Susman

Sally Susman

Sally Susman is executive vice president for corporate affairs at Pfizer, where she is a member of the executive leadership team and chairs the political action committee. She is also vice chair of the Pfizer Foundation. Susman directs Pfizer’s global communications and its public affairs activities, including high-level relations with governments. She also heads the firm’s corporate responsibility group.

Sam is the director of WRI’s U.S. Climate Initiative. He leads WRI’s efforts to analyze and develop new policies, build political will and support coalitions that will encourage the transition to a strong, low-carbon economy. Sam is the former Mayor of Portland, Oregon.
Sam Downes

Sam Downes

Sam Downes is a junior fellow at Artha Global, a policy research and consulting organization based in Mumbai and London. Downes spent most of his career in the British government in roles spanning long-term planning, implementation, and government reform in a variety of policy areas, including in infrastructure and urban policy. At present, he works on urbanization, cities, and climate change at Artha’s Centre for Emerging Cities. He has a master’s in Public Policy from Lee Kuan School of Public Policy in Singapore.

Sam Friedlander is the senior manager of advocacy and policy for Sesame Workshop’s humanitarian programs, where she works on translating evidence and learnings to advocacy assets. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Development Practice from Emory University.

Sam Halabi

Sam Halabi is a professor at the Georgetown University School of Health and directs the Center for Transformational Health Law at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. He holds a J.D. from Harvard, an M.Phil. from the University of Oxford, and undergraduate degrees from Kansas State University.
