She has worked for the past 10 years as a human rights and gender expert, working with grassroots organizations, international civil society, government institutes, and the U.N. She specializes in feminist policy analysis and access to justice for sexual and gender-based violence.

Prior to this, Sharmeen worked as a specialist in environmental, social, and governance research and engagement at CtW Investment Group and as an associate within the ESG team at MSCI Inc. She graduated with a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
