Simon Maxwell

Simon Maxwell is executive chair of the Climate and Development Knowledge Network. He spent 10 years overseas with U.N. Development Program and the United Kingdom aid program, in Kenya, India and Bolivia, and then 15 years at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. He was director of the Overseas Development Institute. In addition to CDKN, he is chair of the European Think Tanks Group and specialist adviser to the International Development Select Committee in the U.K. Parliament. Simon Maxwell is a former president of the Development Studies Association of the U.K. and Ireland. In 2007, he was awarded a CBE for services to international development.

Simon Missiri

Dr. Simon Missiri is the regional director for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Europe. He sets the strategic direction of the IFRC regional office for Europe in Budapest and several sub-regional and country offices (including Brussels, Athens, Moscow and Kiev), in providing IFRC support and policy work with National Red Cross Red Crescent Societies in 54 countries.

Simon O’Connell

Simon O’Connell is the CEO of the global development partner, SNV, leading a team of over 1,600 people and ongoing programs in approximately 25 countries. With overall responsibility for SNV, Simon oversees a global portfolio focused on the agri-food, energy, and water sectors and systems interventions that contribute to sustainable, transformational change.

Simon Reckla

Simon Reckla is the co-founder of Action Connected, a groundbreaking online platform that connects all three pillars, namely supporters, implementers and beneficiaries, of the charity and social business world. He holds dual masters degrees in politics and international relations and international economic relations in Eurasia. Simon’s work experience ranges from the private sector, through journalism to working for the Italian Senate and the European Parliament. He is passionate about fostering sustainable development practices at the highest level of international standards.

Simon Starling is the director of policy, advocacy, and research at Bond. He was previously head of policy and U.K. campaigns at Concern, where he led a team of advocates and campaigners influencing the U.K. government and the public on international development issues including hunger, nutrition, resilience, and humanitarian crises.

Simon Winter

Simon Winter is the senior vice president of development at TechnoServe, where he leads and manages strategy and strategic planning, knowledge management, thought leadership and program development. He is currently a senior fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, Harvard Kennedy School, where he is researching how we can change the global food system so that it feeds a growing population and benefits farmers in the face of climate change.

Simon Wreford-Howard

Simon Wreford-Howard is an independent international strategy consultant / senior external relations, fundraising and strategy professional for international development. He worked as the innovative finance focal point at the World Health Organization. Simon was also a senior program officer at GAVI and an IFFIM manager.

Simone di Vicenz

Simone di Vicenz is program impact adviser for resilience at Christian Aid, and program manager and monitoring and evaluation coordinator at the Living Earth Foundation. Previously, he led various multi-sectoral rural and urban international development projects in Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania and Vietnam.

Sinead Mowlds

Sinead is currently with Brookings Institution to work on the Investments to End Hunger project. Previously, she worked with the OECD and the BMGF researching aid for food and nutrition security and improved methodologies for the reporting and tracking of aid to agricultural research. She holds a BSc in International Development and Food Policy at University College Cork, Ireland.
