Stephen Wall

Stephen Wall

Dr. Stephen Wall is a pediatrician, neonatologist, and public health expert. For the past 15 years, he has been senior technical advisor to Save the Children's Saving Newborn Lives Initiative, becoming director in 2018. He is currently senior director of newborn health at Save the Children where he has overseen global and country-based efforts to improve newborn survival through research and innovation, implementation research, and advocacy for policy change and program development. Prior to joining Save the Children, Wall served as a neonatologist and perinatal epidemiologist at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and at Northwestern University Medical School. He received his medical education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by pediatrics and neonatology training at University of California-San Francisco, and neonatology fellowship training at Harvard.

He is the manager of policy and advocacy overseeing the team within the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ headquarters working on the policy environment in which libraries work.

Stephen M. Rudy is CEO at Gradian Health Systems. He has nearly 35 years of experience in medical technology companies, including executive-level roles in marketing, sales and business development. Prior to joining Gradian, he was founder and CEO of Fluid Medical, CEO of Sinia Corp., senior vice president of Somnus Medical Technologies (now Olympus Medical) and vice president of marketing for VidaMed (now Medtronic) and Applied Imaging Corp. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University.

He has spent 33 years at CDC working in the field of immunization and from 1985 to present, he served in various roles at CDC where he led and managed the U.S. immunization program and its international activities.

Over the past seven years at Mastercard Foundation, Steve has developed a portfolio of youth economic development and workforce programs for young people, including most recently, Hanga Ahazaza, an initiative focused on tourism and hospitality training for young people in Rwanda.

He is bringing this expertise to bear on global health issues including tobacco control, overdose prevention, environmental health, healthy food policy, and other leading health areas.

Steve Hamilton is a senior manager at Deloitte Advisory LLP in the Emerging Markets Practice based in Washington, D.C. Steve has more than 10 years of experience providing market, economic, strategic planning, and transactions support for large-scale infrastructure projects worldwide, including cities, special economic zones, ports and airports. He has worked in 17 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, as well as the United States and Mexico, for multilateral development banks, public and commercial clients. For Deloitte, Steve is focused on urban development and SMART cities, including developing and deploying new evidence-based approaches that support informed decision making by city leaders, citizens, and stakeholders. He is currently leading a SMART Border connected cities project on the U.S.-Mexico border and a project in Morocco that seeks to implement a new industrial land development and governance strategy for the country.
