His work has appeared in Newsweek, Le Monde Diplomatique, Far Eastern Economic Review, Christian Science Monitor, IRIN — now known as The New Humanitarian, South China Morning Post, Qantara.de, and others.

Ashrafedin Youya is senior environmental health expert and assistant director of hygiene and environmental health directorate at Ethiopia’s Federal Ministry of Health. He has more than 17 years worth of experience working in government and NGOS. He worked directly on Ethiopia’s National Health Adaptation Plan. Youya is experienced in coordinating and managing hygiene and environmental health programs at regional and national level, including during emergency situations.

Ashtin is an Analyst at the USAID Global Development Lab's Center for Transformational Partnerships (CTP), where she performs research, data analysis, and training support on public-private partnerships, inclusive business, and other approaches to private-sector engagement. She recently graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in International Studies, and a specialization in International Development.

Ashvin Dayal is senior vice president for The Rockefeller Foundation’s global power and climate initiative, focused on scaling up renewable energy access to drive green and inclusive local development. He oversees a diverse range of investments in the distributed renewable energy space, including energy project investments, along with grants for data and technology innovation, policy, research, and advocacy.

Asim I. Khwaja is the faculty director of the Center for International Development at Harvard University and professor of international finance and development at the Harvard Kennedy School. Khwaja is also the co-founder of the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan.
