Thomas Cueni

Thomas Cueni is the director general of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations, which he has led since 2017. During this time, he has been instrumental in establishing cross-sectoral programs designed to tackle the biggest global health challenges. Thomas galvanized the industry to develop the Berlin Declaration — the pharmaceutical industry's blueprint to deliver equitable access to vaccines, treatments, and diagnostics in future pandemics. He also serves as chair of the business at OECD Health Committee and as industry co-chair of the APEC Biopharmaceutical Working Group on Ethics. He is also a member of the Business Advisory Group established by the director-general of the World Trade Organization.

Thomas Debass has served as deputy special representative for global partnerships at the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships in the U.S. State Department since 2013. He is responsible for managing the office and provides leadership on partnerships related to economic growth, global finance, entrepreneurship and technology programming.

Thomas Dichter's career in international development spans 50 years. He has worked in over 60 developing countries on four continents, as a Peace Corps volunteer, a Peace Corps country director in Yemen, vice president of TechnoServe, program officer of the Aga Khan Foundation in Geneva, Switzerland, a researcher on development issues for a think tank, and a staff member of a for-profit USAID contractor. Since 1994 he has been an independent consultant, including for UNDP, IFAD, USAID and the Asian Development Bank.

He holds degrees from Cambridge and the University of London, and has worked in international development for the last 12 years for organizations including the United Nations and Save the Children.

Thomas Hill is a senior nonprofit and NGO professional whose career has focused on supporting people and communities that have been displaced or affected by disaster, armed conflict, war, and crisis. He has worked in leadership roles with the Norwegian Refugee Council, American Red Cross, IFRC, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, and International Rescue Committee across four continents over the past two decades. He began his career as a peace corps volunteer and is a big believer in the power of barbecue to unite people.

He holds a B.A. in Economics and master’s degree in teaching from the University of Virginia and an MBA in international organizations from the University of Geneva.

Thomas Jayne is a professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics at Michigan State University and a visiting professor at the University of Pretoria. He is also a distinguished fellow of the African Association of Agricultural Economists. Jayne has mentored dozens of young African professionals and played a major role in building MSU's partnerships with African research institutes. He has over 25 years of experience conducting research on agricultural and food security issues.

He has been a consultant with Accenture since 1987, specializing in the execution of complex international projects in multiple sectors. His primary focus now is on conceiving, planning and implementing new business models and business process change, and supporting them through information technology and innovative partnerships which are built to last.
