Tiziana has contributed to Devex News since mid-2008, focusing mainly on Africa as well as the European donor landscape, especially those in Brussels, Rome and Barcelona. Tiziana has worked as a journalist for Reuters and the Associated Press in Johannesburg and at Reuters in Milan and Paris. She is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Tiziana Oliva

Tiziana Oliva is the international director of Leonard Cheshire Disability. She joined the organization from VSO, where as director of Africa she had responsibility for operations in 18 countries and three regional hubs. Prior to VSO, she held leadership roles at Merlin and CARE International, with field work on humanitarian interventions as well as long term recovery and development programs.

Tjada D'Oyen McKenna

Tjada D’Oyen McKenna is chief executive officer at Mercy Corps, where she leads a global team of nearly 6,000 humanitarians working on the front lines of today’s biggest crises in more than 40 countries. Previously, she served in leadership roles with CARE and Habitat for Humanity and spent more than a decade working to end world hunger in roles with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U.S. government.

Toby Cumberbatch is a professor of electrical engineering at the Cooper Union in New York City. His principal interests are developing engineering practices to address the real needs of people in remote, rural communities through Engineering for the Middle of Nowhere.

Toby Lanzer

Toby Lanzer is deputy special representative of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, as well as resident and humanitarian coordinator for the U.N. Development Program in the country. Lanzer has occupied several positions within the world body since he joined UNDP in 1992. He has extensive experience in development, humanitarian affairs and peacekeeping.

Todd Moss

Todd Moss is COO and a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development. His work focuses on U.S.-Africa relations and financial issues facing sub-Saharan Africa, including policies that affect private investment, debt, and aid. Moss directs the Emerging Africa Project and is currently working on energy in Africa, cash transfers in new oil economies, and new ideas for upgrading US development policy.

Todd Moss

Todd Moss is senior fellow at the Center for Global Development where his research focuses on U.S.-Africa relations, energy policy, and private investment. Moss is also a nonresident scholar at the Center for Energy Studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute and an adjunct professor at Georgetown. He served as COO/VP at the Center from 2009-2016. Moss is currently working on electrification in Africa, cash transfers in new oil economies, and ideas for upgrading U.S. development finance tools.
