Augusto Castro-Nunez oversees the low-emissions food system research theme of the Alliance of Bioversity-CIAT. He leads the Mitigate+ work package on scaling CGIAR innovations with high potential for low-emission development. He is a pioneer in developing approaches for delivering climate change mitigation and peace building.

Augusto Santos Silva

Augusto Santos Silva has a PhD in sociology from ISCTE-IUL and did his aggregation in social sciences at the University of Porto, where he is a professor at the faculty of economics. He has held various university management positions, including chairman of the Scientific Council of his faculty and pro-rector of his university. He is the author of several books in the field of the epistemology of social sciences, the sociology of culture and development, and political thought.

Aurore Nishimwe

Aurore Nishimwe is a lecturer at the University of Rwanda and Ph.D. candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. She is also a fellow with Tufts University's One Health Fellowship.
Austen El-Osta

Austen El-Osta

Dr. Austen El-Osta is the director of the self-care academic research unit and primary care research manager at the Imperial College London School of Public Health. He is also supporting the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training, NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative London, and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Directorate of Public Health in the same capacity. He is the director and trustee of the International Self-Care Foundation, trustee of the Self-Care Forum, and progenitor of the emerging Self-Driven Healthcare movement.

Austen Moore

Austen Moore’s passion for agricultural extension led him to the University of Illinois where he works with AgReach as a research specialist as well as deputy project director for the Strengthening Agriculture and Nutrition Extension Services Activity in Malawi. After serving with the Peace Corps in East Timor, Austen completed his doctoral studies in agricultural education and communication from the University of Florida. Dr. Moore specializes in agricultural extension systems and approaches, community-led development and post-conflict agriculture.

Austin Arinze Obiefuna

Austin Arinze Obiefuna is the board vice-chair of the Stop TB Partnership and the executive director of Afro Global Alliance. He also leads the regional TB network Africa Coalition on TB. He is a WHO consultant and a member of the WHO AFRO Regional Green Light Committee. He previously served as the chair of the Global Network of Stop TB Partnerships and represented Africa on the executive board of the International Union Against TB and Lung Disease. He was instrumental in forming the Nigeria Stop TB Partnership and several other TB partnerships around the world.

Prior to Devex, Ava worked as a researcher for local and international development consulting firms.

Avery Ouellette serves as a senior partnerships adviser in the Center for Transformational Partnerships at USAID's Global Development Lab, where she leads the partnership insights portfolio, and specializes in collaboration models that address systems-level issues.

Awil Abukar Mohamed

Awil Abukar Mohamed is the senior media and communication officer for Islamic Relief in Somalia, which supports vulnerable communities with humanitarian aid and long-term development. He is based in Mogadishu and travels throughout the country. He has worked for Islamic Relief for more than five years and has over 13 years of experience in filmmaking, media, and humanitarian work in Somalia.
