Yael Velleman

Yael Velleman is the director of policy and communication at the SCI Foundation and has worked with the organization since 2018. She is passionate about making the world a cleaner and healthier place for all, with a particular interest in the links between WASH and public health and has worked extensively on strategic planning and policy engagement on WASH and neglected tropical diseases. She has worked in the U.K., Uganda, and Nicaragua, and has supported work in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.

Yamikani Idriss

Yamikani Idriss is an environmental officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change, Malawi. He is also the lead climate transparency negotiator for Malawi and LDCs, and a technical expert reviewer under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Yamil Bonduki

Yamil Bonduki

Yamil Bonduki is the manager of UNDP Low Emission Capacity Building (LECB) Programme, based in New York. This global programme provides technical and financial assistance to 25 countries around the world for the preparation of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS). Yamil holds a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.

Yannick Romero is knowledge and advocacy manager within the knowledge, advocacy, and policy team at UICC. He works on tobacco control globally, developing and gathering evidence-based information. In addition, Yannick dedicates his time to national cancer control planning, which consists of the analysis and evaluation of country cancer plans in the frame of the International Cancer Control Partnership. Yannick holds a doctorate in Biology from the University of Geneva Medical School.

Yasmin has a successful track record in applying innovative solutions — including mHealth, eHealth and aerial delivery systems — and data-driven quality improvement approaches for transforming supply chains and outcomes.

Yasmina McCarty is the head of mobile for development at the GSMA, where she leads a global team delivering digital innovations in agriculture, energy, water, sanitation, health, financial services, identity, humanitarian response, and gender equality. Yasmina’s work brings together mobile operators, tech innovators, donors, and policymakers to tackle inequality. This work has impacted more than 55 million people to date.
