Zeda Rosenberg

Zeda Rosenberg is CEO of IPM, a nonprofit working to develop new HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health products for women. Previously, she served as scientific director for the HIV Prevention Trials Network at Family Health International, and senior scientist at the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at NIH. She received her master's in epidemiology and a doctorate in microbiology from Harvard University.

Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein

Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein assumed his functions as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on Sept. 1, 2014, following the General Assembly’s approval on June 16, 2014 of his appointment by the United Nations Secretary-General. He is the sixth High Commissioner to lead the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the first Asian, Muslim, and Arab to do so.

He served as the special representative for commercial and business affairs at the U.S. Department of State; a member of the policy planning staff in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of State; a White House fellow at the U.S. Department of Justice; and a foreign policy aide in the U.S. Senate.

Ziad Hamoui is the co-founder and president-reelect of the Borderless Alliance, a private sector based advocacy group that promotes economic integration in West Africa and works to eliminate barriers to trade and transport in the subregion. He has more than 12 years of experience working in the road transport, logistics and shipping industry of Ghana including in his current position as executive director of Tarzan Enterprise Ltd., a long-established family-owned business.

Ziad Sheikh

Ziad Sheikh assumed the position of country representative of U.N. Women in Nepal in March 2012. Before this, he served as U.N. Women’s Resource Mobilization Lead in New York, HQ and as UNIFEM’s deputy country director in Afghanistan. From 2003-2007, Ziad worked with UNICEF designing and implementing global, regional and country level policy advocacy strategies and campaigns for girls’ education and maternal health, including with UNICEF India. Prior to joining the U.N. system, he served with Save the Children UK.

Bringing 10 years of experience to her role, Ziona has an extensive background in strategic communications for international stakeholders. Before joining the Resilience team, Ziona lead communications for IISD's Energy Program, including the Global Subsidies Initiative.

Zivayi Chiguvare

Zivayi Chiguvare is currently the director of the Namibia Energy Institute, a government-funded national institute at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. He holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Oldenburg, Germany where he specialized in photovoltaics.
