Beverly Musili

Beverly Musili is a qualified advocate of the High Court in Kenya with over 8 years of experience in policy-making, policy advocacy, and research. She is passionate about applying the law to address development issues and social injustice. She has worked across development agendas focusing on women in areas such as climate justice, land rights, sexual health and reproductive rights, and public sector gender reforms, among others.
Bibi Giyose

Bibi Giyose

Bibi Giyose is senior nutrition and food systems officer, and special advisor to the NEPAD CEO. Previously, she advised the New Partnership for Africa’s Development Planning and Coordinating Agency, an organ of the African Union, on the same, and was an UNDP/UNAIDS regional project coordinator for HIV and nutrition. She holds an M.S. in international nutrition from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, USA and a B.S. in nutrition and dietetics from Appalachian State University – Boone, NC, USA.

Bill Drayton

Bill Drayton is chair and CEO of Ashoka. Since 1981, Ashoka has launched and provided support to nearly 3,000 social entrepreneurs — individuals with systems-changing solutions to the world’s most urgent social challenges. Prior to founding Ashoka, Mr. Drayton held positions with McKinsey and Co. and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Drayton is also chair of Youth Venture, Get America Working!, and Community Greens. He is a graduate of Harvard, Balliol College at Oxford University, and Yale Law School.

Bill Hinchberger

Bill Hinchberger is a global communications professional and educator. He studied at Berkeley and has taught at the Sorbonne. Based mostly in Paris, he spends quality time in Brazil and the United States, and works extensively in Africa and Latin America. He has served as an international correspondent for The Financial Times, Business Week, ARTnews, Variety, and others. One current focus of his work is content creation for foundations, NGOs and other organizations, especially those working on issues related to international affairs, the environment and development. He also runs training programs for professional journalists, notably in Africa, and is an associate of Rain Barrel Communications, a leading consultancy for social justice projects.

Bill Rustrick is chief executive officer of the Clinton Development Initiative, an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, based in Malawi. Prior to CDI, he was the operations director on a multi-estate tea production facility in Western Kenya, involving a large out-grower supply chain.

Bill Waren is senior trade analyst at Friends of the Earth. He covers negotiations, litigation, and congressional action on trade policy. Bill has published numerous technical research papers and pieces of popular journalism on trade policy. In the past, Bill served as policy director at the Forum on Democracy and Trade, senior fellow at Georgetown Law, and Federal Affairs Counsel at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Bina Valsangkar

Bina Valsangkar

Dr. Bina Valsangkar is a newborn technical adviser for the Saving Newborn Lives program at Save the Children. She works with health ministries and other partners in Malawi, Uganda, and Ethiopia to reduce neonatal mortality. Valsangkar completed her pediatrics residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., medical school at the University of Michigan, and a master’s in public health from Harvard University. She is adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at George Washington University.
