Bill Waren

Bill Waren is senior trade analyst at Friends of the Earth. He covers negotiations, litigation, and congressional action on trade policy. Bill has published numerous technical research papers and pieces of popular journalism on trade policy. In the past, Bill served as policy director at the Forum on Democracy and Trade, senior fellow at Georgetown Law, and Federal Affairs Counsel at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Bina Valsangkar

Bina Valsangkar

Dr. Bina Valsangkar is a newborn technical adviser for the Saving Newborn Lives program at Save the Children. She works with health ministries and other partners in Malawi, Uganda, and Ethiopia to reduce neonatal mortality. Valsangkar completed her pediatrics residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., medical school at the University of Michigan, and a master’s in public health from Harvard University. She is adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at George Washington University.

Bing Zhao

Bing Zhao

Bing Zhao is the director and global coordinator of Purchase for Progress (P4P) at the World Food Programme. He has extensive experience in promoting the role of agricultural development in support of food security, rural livelihoods and South-South cooperation for sustainable agriculture, from his previous capacities as head of the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanism of UNESCAP and as the deputy director-general of the Chinese Agricultural Ministry’s Centre for International Cooperation and Service. Mr. Zhao holds a Ph.D. in economics and law with a specialization on consumers and markets.

Bipasha Ray is vice president of scalable solutions at Panorama Global, where she designed and facilitated the pilot peer learning cohort of Panorama’s CLIP Initiative. Her work focuses on supporting social entrepreneurs and social change leaders to implement their work through fiscal sponsorship and other partnership models, and co-leading efforts to deepen learning and knowledge sharing across the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.

Birhan Gebrekirstos

Birhan Gebrekirstos is co-author of “Meqanit” (Tearing the body, breaking the spirit) and founder of Wegahta CSO. She is a human rights activist and volunteers in humanitarian organizations where she documents human rights violations and sexual violations. She is a researcher and lecturer at Mekelle University’s Mekelle Institute of Technology.

Blair Glencorse

Blair Glencorse

Blair Glencorse is founder and executive director of the Accountability Lab. Previously, he worked on issues of state and market-building across Africa, Asia the Middle-East and Latin America at the Institute for State Effectiveness and the Aspen Institute, and on post-conflict and fragile states at the World Bank. Glencorse is a frequent commentator on development issues for media outlets including CNN, The Independent, and WABC Radio, among others. In 2011 during the Arab Awakenings, Blair was honored as a UN Fellow for the Middle East and North Africa, and in 2012 he won the Johns Hopkins Outstanding Recent Graduate Award for his work on accountability.
