Charles Kojo Vandyck

Charles Kojo Vandyck currently serves as the head of the capacity development unit at the West Africa Civil Society Institute. Vandyck is a social justice advocate who works to strengthen civic leadership and citizens’ participation in development processes. Charles was an executive advisor for the Mandela Washington Fellowship Africa based program. Vandyck is also a founding member of the International Consortium on Closing Civic Space, an initiative of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies. Charles is also a core team member of the Reimagining INGOs project, a Rights Co-Lab initiative.
Charles Mgone

Charles Mgone

Charles Mgone is the executive director of the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership. Professor Mgone has worked as the deputy director and later the acting director of the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research. Before joining EDCTP, he was network director of the African Malaria Network Trust where he was responsible for coordinating the African response to malaria. He holds a master degree in pediatrics and a doctorate in medical and molecular genetics.

Charles Petrie is a former U.N. assistant secretary general. He has more than 30 years of experience working in conflict and post-conflict settings. He was named Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2014.
Charles Warren

Charles Warren

Charlie Warren earned his master's in international development and security at the University of Bristol after completing a bachelor's in politics and sociology there. He has worked on non-profit community projects in Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand and Madagascar. He freelanced for both a political risk company and a current affairs magazine in London. Charlie was a fellow in our Manila office from November 2007 to April 2008. He is fluent in English and French and speaks basic Spanish and Tagalog.

Charles E. Owubah

Charles E. Owubah, Ph.D., is the CEO of Action Against Hunger, a nonprofit global humanitarian organization that is innovating solutions, advocating for change, and reaching 28 million people every year with proven hunger prevention and treatment programs. With more than 25 years in the humanitarian sector, he has deep technical expertise and extensive experience in program design, monitoring and evaluation, and management of sustainable water, food security, and emergency relief programs. Originally from Ghana, Owubah earned his Master of Science and doctorate in Natural Resource Management and Policy from Purdue University.
Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle

Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle

The Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle is metropolitan archbishop of Cape Coast in Ghana and vice president of the Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference. He is also Episcopal promoter of the conference’s Laudato Sí Action Programme, which seeks to respond to local and global crises from the lens of a call to action by Pope Francis. He was previously bishop of the Koforidua Diocese and Accra Archdiocese. He was ordained a priest in 1976 and has been a bishop for 29 years.

Through his financial support and leadership, Charlie has helped TLYCS’s founder, Peter Singer, develop the organization from the ground up.

He founded Charlie Goldsmith Associates in 2011, which joined the Corus family in 2019 and became CGA Technologies. Charlie continues to work as a senior technical adviser on education, social protection, and the cash and data systems. He currently leads CGA Technologies’ social cash transfers work in Malawi, humanitarian cash response in Ukraine, and Colet Mentoring partnership.
