She has since pursued a career in the health sector and currently works at Wandikweza Health Centre, where she is dedicated to providing quality health care to her community.

With over 20 years of experience in antimicrobial resistance, maternal health, and climate-related infectious diseases, she serves on the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. She holds a Ph.D. in public health and parasitology. She is a global reviewer for many journals and a contributor to AMR policy frameworks across Africa.
