Christian Paradis

Christian Paradis is Canada's minister of international development and la francophonie. He was first elected to the House of Commons on January 23, 2006, as the member of Parliament and has served in a number of government posts, including minister of industry and minister of state (agriculture), minister of public works and government services, and minister of natural resources. He studied law and practiced corporate law for a number of years in his hometown of Thetford Mines.

Before relocating to West Africa, Christin spent several years working in local newsrooms and earned her master of science in videography and global affairs reporting from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Her informed insight into the region stems from her diverse coverage of more than a dozen African nations.

Christina Bennett

Christina Bennett is Start Network’s CEO. She has over 20 years of experience in humanitarian policy and practice and has worked in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and South Sudan. Before joining Start Network, Christina was head of the humanitarian policy group at the Overseas Development Institute. She also worked as the chief of policy analysis and innovation at the UNOCHA leading work on aid effectiveness, cash assistance, and the protection of civilians.
Christina Juan

Christina Juan

Christina Juan is a researcher with the Demographic and Health Surveys Program and is based in Washington, DC, working on gender and health issues in developing countries. Current research topics include addressing barriers to family planning, the effects of interviewer characteristics regarding sensitive topics, and trends and community-level determinants of child marriage. Juan previously worked for non-governmental organizations, including the International Center for Research on Women as a gender and health specialist on adolescent mental health and reproductive health research studies, as well as International Planned Parenthood Federation as an evaluation officer to conduct learning and evaluation initiatives. Juan has an M.Sc. in Reproductive & Sexual Health Research from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.

Christina Kwauk

Christina Kwauk is a fellow at the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution. Her current research focuses on gender equality in education, 21st-century skills and youth empowerment, and education and climate change. Kwauk is a co-author of "What Works in Girls' Education: Evidence for the World’s Best Investment," and also manages the Echidna Global Scholars Program. She previously served as chair of the Girls CHARGE initiative.

Christina Myers is special advisor to Alaa Murabit (Sustainable Development Goals Advocates of the United Nations) and Ph.D. candidate at the Open University (Knowledge Media Institute) doing research on the use of video games for inclusive education. In addition to her experience in academia and policy, Christina is the co-founder of a biometrical company, has worked in the corporate world as well as in government.

Christine Dickason is on the communications team at the Global Development Incubator, where she works with social entrepreneurs to build their brand, including social media, from the ground up. Before joining GDI, Christine managed social media and digital assets at the Center for American Progress Action Fund. She also served as the deputy director of correspondence for First Lady Michelle Obama.

Christine is a former senior analyst under the Surveys and Advisory Services team of Devex. A skilled researcher, she contributes to and/or leads custom research projects and surveys commissioned by leading companies and development institutions. Christine has a professional certificate in political economy and a master’s degree in Japanese studies, and is a fellow of the Japan Foundation.
