The World Bank approved on May 6 a USD22.8 million grant for a new health project in Benin. The Health System Performance Project aims to improve the quality and coverage of neonatal and maternal services in the African country and strengthen its health ministry. The project is also expected to receive some a USD11 million grant from the Health Results and Innovation Trust Fund, a multi-donor fund supported by Norway and the U.K. The fund is managed by the World Bank.
