The Australian government has nominated Bob McMullan as executive director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Mr McMullan will be appointed by the EBRD for a term that will end in July 2012, pending a vote by constituency members.
Current executive director John Eyers will not be seeking another term.
If appointed, McMullan, a former parliamentary secretary for international development assistance, will represent a constituency that includes Australia, South Korea, New Zealand and Egypt, according to a news release from the Australian government.
