The Inter-American Development Bank will assist

in expanding and improving its water and sanitation services through a $250 million fast-disbursing loan. The loan will be used to improve public financing for water and sanitation, establish regional companies to deliver services, and provide training to personnel. Meanwhile,

will also receive some $10 million from the bank for its water resources management reform program. The project will draft and execute policy, institutional, regulatory, and structural reforms to encourage sustainable use of water resources.
