It is true that NGOs, banks and developers rather focus on African countries such as Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi and a few others who have managed to establish more stable governments and better investment integrity. I submit that the vast resources and development potential of the Democratic Republic of the Congo deserve a much broader and more sustained focus. Practice makes perfect - for all of the investors, community developers and the Congolese people. A large number of small projects, spread over as many sectors of the DR Congo and its society as may be achievable, might serve to speed up awareness, understanding, knowledge and help to spread risk in such an inexperienced but well located environment.
