Newly appointed U.S. International Development Finance Corp. CEO Adam Boehler provides insights on what lies ahead for the newly founded agency, in conversation with Devex President and Editor-in-Chief Raj Kumar.
Boehler was appointed by the U.S. president and unanimously confirmed by Senate on Sept. 26, 2019. Prior to his confirmation, he led a team focusing on innovating the U.S. health care system within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
As the most significant change in the U.S. development landscape in more than 15 years, all eyes are on DFC and how it will deliver impact with a new set of tools and a stronger development mandate.

The conversation will also reveal more about DFC’s new Portfolio for Impact & Innovation, or PI2, an amplified initiative to finance early-stage, high-impact social enterprises with innovative solutions to challenges facing low- and middle-income countries.
