We spill a lot of ink on U.K. cuts to foreign aid because, well, there’s plenty of them (except apparently when it comes to funding soccer programs in China). Now it appears that the Germans — the second-largest provider of official development assistance within the Development Assistance Committee — are following the Brits’ lead in slashing foreign aid, albeit not as deeply.
