The United Kingdom Department for International Development will allocate at least $15 million for the initiatives of the Coalitions for Change Program (C4C) in the next three years. The funding by the DFID will be used to help the program deal with institutions that hinder improvements in accountability and public resource management in Nigeria. According to C4C program coordinator Hajia Amina Salihu, the DFID will be working industriously with the government in implementing the program’s activities even if the British organization wouldn’t be setting the program’s priorities. The C4C hopes to connect different interest groups with each other to help the African state meet the Millennium Development Goals. (Source: DFID boosts C4C with £7.5m/Vanguard-Nigeria)
