DT Global to triple in size after two acquisitions

Shortly after announcing a deal to buy Cardno International Development, DT Global now says it has acquired IMC Worldwide.

    By David Ainsworth // 04 April 2022
DT Global is buying two other development companies in a move that will roughly triple the head count of the development contractor to well over 2,000. The organization announced on Monday that it had bought IMC Worldwide, a United Kingdom-based company with 100 dedicated staffers. This comes a week after DT Global said it is buying Cardno International Development, a company focused on areas such as infrastructure and environmental services, in a deal that is worth around 56.5 million Australian dollars ($42.6 million) and due to be completed by June. Cardno has 1,500 personnel across 25 offices around the world. Cardno’s international development arm is not the only part of its business to see a sale announcement recently, with its Americas and Asia-Pacific consulting arms sold for $500 million last year. DT Global was established in 2019 from the merger of three development organizations, launching with 700 staffers working across 31 field offices and projects in 90 countries. Its principal owner is the GPD Charitable Trust, and some of the funds raised from its for-profit work are channeled into its partner nonprofit, DT Institute.
