The U.S. and Ethiopia signed a USD400 million agreement Feb. 19 to boost development cooperation between the two countries, Ethiopian Journal reports. As part of the agreement, grants will be used over four years to support Ethiopia’s social safety net in different region around the country.
Ethiopia signed another grant on the same day, worth USD30 million and provided by the Netherlands. This money is allotted for environment and agriculture development projects.
