The European Commission committed EUR1.5 million (USD1.95 million) to assist the Nahr al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. The funding will be primarily used to provide food and shelter. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which administers the funding for the refugee camp, is seeking USD42.7 million for relief operations through the end of next year and another USD445 million to rehabilitate the camp.
