    The European Union has scaled back its assistance to the conflict-torn region of Gaza, Haaretz.com reports. The aid cut, which includes support for the region’s power plant, has worsened Gaza’s power problems. The production of Gaza’s sole power plant was greatly reduced following renewed conflict between the Hamas and Fatah parties in the region.
