Meglena Plugchieva, Bulgaria’s former deputy prime minister for the absorption of the European Union funds, will not get the post of vice president at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Standart reports.
Devex earlier reported that EBRD nominated Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer for the position of the bank’s vice president for operational policies. Fischer already accepted the appointment.
“EBRD President called to inform me that an incumbent PM had applied for the post and as his position in the state hierarchy is higher than mine, his nomination will be discussed by the EBRD board on May 6,” Plugchieva said.
