    Fiji top adviser says ‘everything’ is climate finance now

    The Pacific power has seen substantial shifts in its aid landscape in recent years.

    For Pacific island countries, everything is climate finance now.

    That was the message from Neelesh Gounder, chief policy adviser to the Fijian government, at the Australasian Aid Conference in Canberra last month.

    “Really speaking, from Pacific island countries’ perspective, everything under the sun is climate change now,” Gounder said during a panel discussion. “You could decide the whole budget is for climate change.”
