    France is offering €1.7 million ($2.4 million) to enhance hydrological monitoring of water resources in the Congo Basin, a diplomatic source said on Friday (April 1) in the Republic of Congo’s capital, Brazzaville.

    The International Commission of the Congo-Oubangui-Sangha will manage the funding, which will be used to develop a policy on integrated management of water resources as well as help coordinate all border agencies of the basin, according to the Pan-African News Agency.
