Charities in the U.K. will have to increasingly prove the impact of their work in order to secure funding, according to U.K. Minister for Civil Society Nick Hurd.
Hurd explained that charities should expect donors to become more demanding in coming years.
“To be able to tell a story that doesn’t just rely on anecdotes or bringing a few people into the office to tell their personal story – I’m afraid the future is going to demand more than that,” Hurd said, according to the Third Sector. “This poses great challenges, particularly for smaller organisations that don’t have the resources necessary to develop complex methodologies to articulate social return.”
