The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development bagged this year’s United Nations Population Award. The award is given annually to individuals and institutions with outstanding contributions in addressing various population concerns. Last year, Egyptian doctor Mahmoud Fathalla and Nicaraguan nonprofit Movimiento Comunal Nicaraguense took home the award.
