The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria launched another call for proposals this year to fight the three diseases. “The launch of this additional round enables countries to seek extra funding to achieve global targets such as universal access to AIDS treatment and prevention, and to cut the number of deaths from tuberculosis and malaria by half by 2015,” said Global Fund Executive Director Michel Kazatchkine.
