The European Investment Bank is lending 150 million euros (USD197 million) to increase the capacity and extend a high-voltage transmission network in Hungary. The loan will co-finance the rehabilitation of the Martonvasar-Bicske-Gyor transmission corridor to interlink Budapest and the north-west part of the country. The project likewise aims to construct or expand six substations located in various sites in Hungary.
