The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a loan totaling USD350 million to improve low-cost housing and territorial development policy in Colombia. Through the program, the Colombian government expects to enhance the quality of life for low-income families by giving them larger access to better housing and living conditions. “The operation includes financing 106,000 subsidies to support families in the informal urban sector with monthly incomes below four minimum monthly wages,” said project team leader Veronica Adler. “This financing will allow families to acquire or construct homes, or complete construction of or improve their homes.” (Press Release: IDB approves USD350 million for the strengthening of low-cost housing and territorial development policy in Colombia/IADB)
