The Inter-American Development Bank is lending some 3.8 million Peruvian soles (USD3 million) to improve housing conditions in Peru.
The project seeks to reduce the country’s housing deficit, which is estimated at about 900,000 homes.
The funding forms part of an overall USD10 million loan that supports Peru’s regulated microfinancial system. The loan aims to increase housing credit for low-income faimilies in the country.
