The International Labor Organization plans to hold a donor conference in Geneva four months from now to collect pledges for its program aimed at ending global forced labor by 2015. Roger Plant, director of the ILO's Forced Labour Program, told a news conference that the agency needs "an immediate commitment of $10 million to get this global alliance off the ground." But fully starting the campaign, according to Plant, will require over $100 million, which he based on the annual child labor program of the ILO. The ILO official, however, failed to give estimates of the cost of the program over its complete duration.
