The Asian Development Bank plans to provide Indonesia $330 million to bolster the decentralization and financial management in the country. The package includes a $300 million loan, which aims to "strengthen and rationalize the policy, legal, and regulatory framework for decentralization, and establish a more effective mechanism for intergovernmental coordination." The project, according to the bank, will formulate and implement a national action plan for fiscal decentralization. In addition, the ADB authorized a $30 million loan to modernize the country's financial management information systems. It also earmarked $500,000 in technical assistance grant to enhance the capacity of the Regional Autonomy Advisory Council, which oversees decentralization reforms.
