Santo Domingo will be the site of a concert featuring top international music stars to raise funds benefiting the projects of the Food and Agriculture Organization in Haiti’s rural areas, according to Dominican Republic first lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández.
The concert will take place on Oct. 16, 2010, dubbed as World Food Day, in the city’s Olympic Stadium, a March 19 news release from FAO reveals. Although the lineup of performers is not yet confirmed, the concert is due to involve some of FAO’s goodwill ambassadors, a list that currently includes Anggun, Ronan Keating and Dionne Warwick.
