The International Monetary Fund has approved a three-year Extended Fund Facility loan worth euro22.5 billion (USD29 million) for Ireland. The loan forms part of the euro85 billion bailout package provided by the fund and the European Union. Of the euro22.5 billion, some euro5.8 billion will be immediately made available to Ireland, The Irish Times reports.
