IsDB, UAE Boost Agricultural Research in MENA Region

The Islamic Development Bank and United Arab Emirates will provide USD35 million over the next four years to support the work of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture, Bernama reports. IsDB will contribute USD10 million, while the UAE will give USD25 million.

The International Center for Biosaline Agriculture is a development and applied research center that focuses primarily on saline water irrigation for forages, trees and horticultural crops. ICBA gives major emphasis on results for IsDB member countries.
