The Japan Bank for International Cooperation has committed to a USD300 million loan facility to support small and medium-sized enterprises with Japanese investments in developing Southeast Asian countries. JBIC will channel the funds through Malaysian universal bank CIMB Group Holdings Bhd and would be exclusively meant for smaller firms with Japanese interest, including both Japanese-owned SMEs and domestic firms with Japanese business partners.
